for a keynote that he delivered some years later :-)
But remember: you saw him first at the preconference on Educause 2005.

SAKAI discussion - thesis 2 (English)
I learnt at Educause 2005 that titles of blogposts should be informative. I hope this one qualifies.
I would like to test the following assumption:
"Since open source (or community source) is very much on the frontline of developments, it is very likely that their products will adhere to IMS specs very much ahead in time, compared of their commercial competitors." Is this true, in your opinion? Much better: Can you point me to evidence out there that support this assumption? Or counter-evidence?

The Dutch are heavy users of 'new' technology, you could say. I guess that at least half of our group used a digital camera. I know of one person that had an analog camera.... :-)
We made quite a few (digital) pictures during our Edutrip 2005. They are to be found on http://www.flickr.com/groups/edutrip2005.

Sakai - stelling 2

SAKAI discussion - thesis 1 (English)
We (Arjen en Wytze at least) exchanged some arguments through email around the SAKAI presentation that was held on Friday, Oct 21 at the Educause conference. We agreed to put the discussion online, to exchange ideas and opinions around the different thesises and viewpoints that we have.
So, here's thesis number 1:
"are you prepared to give up the responsibility for your primary process (education) to a community that doesn't feel responsible for this primary process"
More to follow... (possibly in Dutch).
